Christmas, Colds & Clutter...Oh My!

Dear Diary,

Well it's been a few days since I have last posted. I've been a busy lady - getting ready for Christmas, packing for 5 days away, enjoying a fabulous Christmas weekend, and hauling all our goodies back to a little place called home. I absolutely love going back to the good ol' hometown, in fact I get quite excited about it, but I am always incredibly anxious to get back to our humble little abode. There is nothing like having everything where you need it, getting ready in your own bathroom and most importantly, sleeping in your own bed. However, I am incredibly lucky to have parents and in-laws who rank in at a high second place!

I could highlight our Christmas weekend, which I would love to do, but I can only say how awesome my family is, how fun it was to watch my daughter's excitement, how nice it was to see good friends, and how incredibly blessed I am so many times. Instead, I will touch base on a few things that I feel are noteworthy:

Un-Decorating:
Yuck. Now that I am home and have unloaded 4,700 toys and gifts, started all the laundry and made a quick run to the store, the LAST thing I want to do is take down Christmas decorations. I am also avoiding the pile of gifts that are in a nice organized cluster that need to find a home somewhere in this house. It doesn't help that I have finally gotten Garrett's cold and am battling a sore throat and runny nose. I think the best medicine is rest right? Between opening up more new toys, changing diapers and making sure the two of us gets fed today, I think I'll do just that - REST. After all, the cluster and decorations are going to be around all week right?

Lindsey's Book Club:
I hit the jackpot with new books for Christmas and they couldn't have come at a better time. My latest read, James Patterson's "Private," left me shy of intrigued. Not that the book was terrible, (I don't think James Patterson knows how to write terrible), but I can't say that I will be adding this title to Lindsey's Book Club list. But the good thing about books is that there is always a new one waiting to be read. I debated on which of my new books to read first but the lucky winner is Emily Giffin's "Baby Proof." It seemed rather fitting at the moment and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it'll make "the list" when I am through with it!

Anniversary:
It started 10 years ago with a hello on ICQ, a friendly handshake at Taco Tico and a stereotypical first date of dinner and movie. It was followed by a short lived "romance" before I broke his heart, we spent time apart, and I succeeded in my desperate attempt to get him back. We've spent a solid 9 years as Garrett and Lindsey, and while the road had its bumps, we kept on driving. After 5 years he realized he needed to keep me around, after 6 years we were saying "I Do," and after 8 years we were welcoming our first child. Now, 9 years later, I am still counting my blessings. We are exactly the same and the exact opposite... the perfect match! I love the guy more than anything and have worn the name Mrs. Garrett Forsythe proudly for the past 3 years. There isn't a better guy around, and let me make this very clear, he's just as lucky to have me by his side! =) I may not look as good as I did on December 28th, 2007, but I am still a great catch! I want to Thank God again for giving me far more blessings than I am worthy of and for letting me spend my life with a guy who couldn't make me any happier. Well besides maybe putting his clothes in the hamper, wiping up his crumbs off the counter, and not being as attached to his XBox, but whose paying attention to those little things? =)

Lindsey Diane Boler and Garrett Michael Forsythe were married on December 28, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Stroot performed the double ring ceremony. Rachel Barnes and Emily Dickey, cousins of the bride, were altar servers. Aaron Cedeno and A.J. Cedeno were Liturgy Readers. Christine Wilson, Tori Marrone and Alexandra Cedeno attended the guestbook. Lindsey is the daughter of Larry and Anna Boler, Pittsburg. She is the granddaughter of James and Wava VanBecelaere, Pittsburg. Garrett is the son of Michael and MaryAnn Forsythe, Frontenac.  He is the grandson of Angeline Ciardullo, Pittsburg and Morris Forsythe, Altoona. Jordan Boler, sister of the bride served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Boler, sister of the bride; Megan Hague, sister of the groom, Ashleigh Coltharp and Jeni Jordan. Brianna Buenger, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Margo Coltrane and Brooke Coltrane, cousins of the bride, served as candlelighters. Madeline Soper was the bride’s personal attendant. The Bride chose a Pronovias gown made entirely of embroidered Spanish Tulle accented with silver linen threading. A lace deep-V neckline and sweeptrain of tulle and lace finished the look of the fitted gown. The bride wore her grandmother's earrings from her own wedding, fifty years ago. Bryson Clark, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Boler, brother of the bride; Doug Hague, brother-in-law of the groom; Daniel Warlop and Brad Bozich. Ushers were John O’Nelio, Anthony Martinez, Daniel Shepard and Ben James.  Justin Furnas, cousin of the groom, served as ringbearer. Music before and during the ceremony was provided by organist, Margaret Cinotto with Buddy Gorentz, uncle of the groom, as vocalist. A dinner and dance reception was held at the Mirza Temple following the ceremony. Music was provided by Curt Benelli. Dinner was catered by Josie's. The four tiered wedding cake and “Philly’s” groom cake were created by Kim Verga.  The reception and dinner was served by Angels Among Us. All wedding and reception flowers were created by The Little Shop of Flowers, Pittsburg. The bride is a 2004 graduate of St.Mary's- Colgan and will graduate in May 2008 from Pittsburg State University. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Pittsburg High School and will graduate in May 2008 from Pittsburg State University. The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They will be residing in Kansas City in June.

The "12 Years of Christmas"

Dear Diary,

I have heard "12 Days of Christmas" several times today. I am definitely not complaining. Unlike most of the Facebook status updates I have seen lately, I could probably listen to Christmas music year round. And luckily Garrett is the exact same way. "12 Days of Christmas" is not my favorite Holiday song, but hearing it so much today has got me thinking. Instead of 12 Days of Christmas, what about 12 Years of Christmas? I think if we all looked back at the last 12 Decembers of our lives, we would be surprised at how much we've accomplished and how many changes have occurred. I know my life in particular has changed drastically from December 1999 to December 2010.

A High School Dance
December 1999: 12 Decembers ago, I was a little 8th grader, gearing up for my last semester as a small Junior High Schooler, who was probably anxious and nervous to be moving on up to the big high school down the hall. I am sure my problems consisted of which boy I was dating for the week and what my highest scoring game was during the 8th grade basketball season. Sleepovers, spending time at the mall, and summer softball were top on my priority list, and sometimes I wish life was that simple again.

December 2000: Besides getting used to high school life, dating a "dreamy" boy in the Junior class, and trying to be part of the "cool crowd," I would guess my December 2000 was spent worrying about basketball practice.

The Early Years
December 2001: Things changed a lot between December 2000 and December 2001. I was no longer with my Junior boyfriend, but was instead dating that "shy" PHS boy. At least that's what everyone told me. Too bad I couldn't get that guy to shut up (and still cant). =) Garrett and I starting dating at a young 16 and 17 years old, and even though I didn't know it back in December 2001, I would be spending a lot more Decembers with that "shy" PHS boy.

December 2002: I can't remember for certain if it was December 2002 or 2003, but I'm going with 2002. This was my first trip to St. Louis to meet Garrett's extended family, the Ciardullo crew! We left just after Christmas day and spent a long weekend with the family. I am sure I was shy, didn't say much, and was incredibly nervous, but I can also be sure that they made me feel very comfortable and were incredibly fun as they always are. I love that we still make an effort to get together, whether it be Holidays, just passing through, or the never disappointing Fripp Trip vacation!

December 2003: I was probably spending this December loving the fact that one senior year semester was over , and only one more to go before I was a high school graduate. That day couldn't come soon enough!

Lifelong Friends!
December 2004: December 2004 was the start of my first College Christmas Break. Seriously? An entire month off? A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

December 2005: I can't really remember much from 2005. But being that I was in College and it was a bit early on, I am sure I was debating on which Major to go with and had probably already changed it a couple of times. Good thing I went with that Communication degree so I could go on and be an Orthodontic Assistant and eventually be a Stay-At-Home Mom =)

Can You Tell I Was Excited?
December 2006: December 2006 was fabulous! Not only did I enjoy a wonderful Christmas, but I got to experience my first plane ride (yes, at 21 years old), my first trip to the wonderful Las Vegas, and my first real surprise. Because things couldn't have worked out any better, I rode home on the plane from Las Vegas with a ring on my finger and engaged to that same PHS boy from 5 years prior. Garrett surprised me big time and it's something I will always, always, always remember.

December 2007: Another milestone year for me! My life changed for the better on December 28, 2007. I married the love of my life! December that year had us preparing for a honeymoon, a final semester of college, and apartment hunting in Kansas City for Garrett's new job starting the end of May.

December 2008: By December 2008 I had been working at my wonderful job for a good 6 months. For reasons unknown to me, I applied for an Orthodontic Assistant job that not only challenged me but gave me the friends I desperately needed after moving to Kansas City. Garrett and I moved from our apartment to our first home and would soon find out we were pregnant with Little Miss Sassy Pants!

Christmas 2009
December 2009: Christmas was a bit different in 2009. Although Addalyn was only 3 months old and had no idea what was going on, she was spoiled by Santa, her parents, her grandparents and her aunts and uncles! If I recall, she spent most of the gift opening process asleep on the floor. Ohhhh how different this year will be =)

And Finally-

December 2010: I am excited for Christmas 2010! We're making what is probably going to be our last trip to Pittsburg for the holiday. By next year Addy will be fully aware of Santa and we'll most likely want to start the Christmas tradition at our own home. I look forward to all the family time, the great food, and spending our last Christmas as a party of 3!

The past 12 Decembers has taken me from an 8th grader, to a High schooler, to a College Grad, to a Newlywed, to a Mother! I would say that I have accomplished a lot over the years but I know there is a lot more in store for me in the many Decembers to come! I've been blessed beyond words and sometimes it takes looking in our past to fully appreciate life in the present!

Sincerely Yours,

unbeLEEvable!

Dear Diary,

I have spent countless hours watching Garrett Forsythe play baseball. I have spent even more hours watching Garrett Forsythe's Phillies play baseball. The Phillies have been a part of his life since childhood and he has his Grandma Ciardullo to thank for all the joy and frustration that team has caused him. If it wasn't for Darren Daulton spending a summer at the Ciardullo household, I don't know where Garrett's mind would be from April until November.

In the past 9 years, I too have become a mega Phillies fan. Most wives, I am sure, have become familiar with the "favorite team" of their husbands. It may be Chiefs football, KU basketball, or the sport I will never understand - Nascar, but it really takes a lot to be a true fan of baseball. There is a game on most every night, 9 innings average to run about 3 hours, and you can go inning after inning without seeing a single run score. Not many "baseball wives" can say they watch the game even when their husband isn't home, or they choose to watch the MLB Network over Regis and Kelly to see the latest trade rumors. I too have fallen in love with the Phillies. I know the players, the coaches, and because I am a true woman, I even keep up with the team gossip. It saddens me when a player I like gets traded, and I hate knowing I won't be seeing Davey Lopes and his stopwatch along the first base line for the 2011 season.

While I can honestly say I am not a fan of change, there are times when change excites me. As if it was Christmas morning, Garrett woke me up last night to tell me that Cliff Lee was coming to Philly. This guy stole my heart in 2009 when he spent part of the season with us before getting traded away to the Mariners. I was sad to see him go, and even held a grudge against the perfect game, no-hitter pitcher Roy Halladay for taking his place. As a surprise to everyone, Cliff Lee has decided to spend the next 5 years with the Phillies for a lousy $120 million. He turned down the Rangers 6 year offer of $138 million and even better, the Yankees 7 year offer of $150 million. It's pretty rare that a player take that big of a pay cut, but I guess it shows what kind of a guy Cliff Lee really is. Honestly, I have a feeling that once you are in the hundred million dollar mark, a 20 million dollar difference doesn't really change your lifestyle. All in all, Cliff wants to be in Philly and we want to have him!

I'll get to spend the next few months hearing my husband talk about how excited he is for the season to start. It's crazy to me to think that by opening day in April I will have an 18 month old and a new little lady to take care of. Just like the Phillies "family" changed in an instant, so will the Forsythe family. The difference is, we've offered her a lifetime contract with a possibility of allowance based on behavior. She will come on board knowing she will never get traded, sent down to the minors, or sit the bench because someone new comes along. She'll have a starting spot for 18 years, and once she's a "free agent," she'll always know she can come to us for help and advice! She's getting the ultimate deal, and even though it may not be worth millions, it's priceless!

Sincerely Yours,

The Forever Struggle

Dear Diary,

There is nothing worse than having a place to go and nothing to wear. There used to be a time when I liked shopping for new clothes. That was a time when it was easy as picking out the cutest top or the best pair of pants. Now, instead, I have to find something suitable for this unproportional body that doesn't look terrible and is semi-comfortable. NOT an easy task.

I have come to one conclusion: It is much easier to shop with NOTHING in mind, then to shop with SOMETHING in mind. I almost always think I know what I want to wear, and it typically takes me a good while to find just the right combo only to get home, try it all on, and discover I hate it. The next step is to take everything out of my closet and try to mix and match with the new clothes and see if I can come up with anything. Shocking, that never works either. I then find myself back at square one, the day of, running around trying to find ANYTHING that will work.

Being pregnant only adds to the horror. I am limited on pants, I don't want to spend a fortune on maternity clothes that I will only wear a few more months, and I HAVE to be comfortable. It almost always works out, but the process is exhausting it will only be a matter of time until the next function comes up and I'm doing it all over again. I get a lot of slack from friends and family about my repeat outfits and my never ending use of sweatpants, but give me a break! If you had to spend the time that I do finding something to wear, you'd be sporting black sweatpants as "casual" attire any day!

I have to say I am anxious for the time when I am not carrying around an extra 20+ pounds and can start looking for the cutest top and best pair of pants again. It's always easier said than done, but luckily there will forever be somewhere to go, with nothing to wear, that will keep me motivated.

Side Note:
We officially have the first snow! I wasn't as excited when I had to drive us home in it from the company Christmas Party last night, but this morning it was nice to look out and see all the white. Even better was watching Addy stand at the door and point out, showing me this strange "new" thing all over the ground. I guess I forgot that she wouldn't remember. The last time she saw snow she was 3 months old and spending most of her time staring at a plastic bear that had a blinking nose and played music. I think she was a little jealous when Philly got to go outside and run around in it. She'll get her turn, sooner or later!

Sincerely Yours,

Latest Good Read

Dear Diary,

I have recently fallen in love with reading again. I think it was 5th grade when the attraction really developed and I was starting a new novel at a steady pace through high school. Sadly, once college hit and my days were filled with class, work, teaching aerobics classes, Pitt State baseball, homework and of course a booming social life, my reading fell to the wayside! Sure I have read a book here and there over the past 6 years that I've been out of high school(holy moly, 6 years!!!), but it wasn't until the past few months that I have quickly become a true reader again.

No I don't read anything that you would consider educational. I can't even say I mosey down the classics section of the library or even the biography aisle where I could probably learn a thing or two. I stick to my favorites - Murder/Thriller. I have always had a thing for scary, drama filled books. One of my favorite memories as a child was Mom taking us to the library over the summers. I would go straight to the card catalog and look under the subject "ghost" to find my next good read. It wasn't long before the library ran out of novels with "ghost" in the title, but I soon discovered R.L. Stine's Goosebumps and Fear Street collections that kept me pretty busy. As I got older I moved on to Mary Higgins Clark and James Patterson, who still have me flipping through their pages today!

I had a very bittersweet moment as I finished my book this afternoon. I love flipping to the last chapter of a good novel, knowing it's going to end as I want it to and happy to fill in all the holes to make the story complete. At the same time, I am always disappointed that it's over and I have to move on. I finished Linda Howard's "Burn," a random pick from the library a couple of weeks ago. I have never read anything from Linda Howard but I plan on spending more time in the "H" section from now on. The main character, Jenner Redwine, finds herself going from poor to rich, from scared to smitten, and from lust to love in this thriller love story. Yes, what could be better than a thriller and love story wrapped into one? I will be adding this title to Lindsey's Book Club list and recommend it to anyone who wants and easy, good read!

Now I will move on to someone who never lets me down, James Patterson. We'll see if "Private" can give me that bittersweet moment when I turn to its final chapter here in a few days.

Sincerely Yours,

What I Know

Dear Diary,

Three Things I Have Discovered Recently:

1. Grapes are delicious.
2. Wilson Phillips holds a special place in my heart.
3. The scale is trying to kill me!

1. It's not that I've never had grapes of course, but I guess I just never think to buy them. They caught my attention while roaming through my Price Chopper (and I say MY Price Chopper because I honestly believe it should be mine considering how much time I spend there) and I just couldn't resist buying a bag. Needless to say, they didn't last very long, but do not fret, I grabbed some more during my shopping spree yesterday. Between Addy, Beckett and I, they don't stand a chance. Delicious!

2. Oh Wilson Phillips... What can I say? One of the first Cd's I owned was Wilson Phillip's self-titled debut album in 1990. I can honestly say I only listened to the first 2 songs on the CD, "Hold On" and "Release Me." Occasionally I'd skip to #5, "You're In Love," but there was no way I'd shut the CD off without playing "Hold On" one more time. You may want to know why Wilson Phillips has crossed my mind today perhaps? Well they have come together again for a Christmas CD. They sang on The View this morning. Typically I don't watch The View, mostly because half those women annoy me, but also because that's usually the time the kids are waking up from their morning nap and if Between the Lions isn't on, I might get clobbered. But, I saw my girls Carnie, Wendy and Chynna were going to be making an appearance so I had to watch. We'll just say I won't be buying "Christmas In Harmony" anytime soon, but I will always have "Hold On" at my fingertips when I need a Wilson Phillips fix.

"Some day somebody's gonna make you want to turn around and say goodbye. Until then baby are you going to let them hold you down and make you cry? Don't you know? Don't you know things can change. Things'll go your way, if you hold on for one more day. Can you hold on for one more day? Things'll go your way...Hold on for one more day."

3. Ugh, the scale. It's no secret that women don't want to admit to themselves how much they weigh, but I think it's safe to say that a pregnant woman can convince herself that the baby must be at least 15 pounds at 25 weeks right? I don't weigh myself at home... You know, that way I can be surprised once I step on the scale at the Doctor's office in front of my nurse. I've had the same nurse see me at every Doctors appointment for both pregnancies and bless her heart, she never blinks and eye when the numbers go up every time I step on that damn scale. But I will say one thing I like about going to the Doctors office, and that is the routine. I love that I always check in with the same receptionist, that I always sit in the same area in the waiting room, that the same nurse always calls me back and ALWAYS says "blood pressure is gooooood," the exact same way, that Dr. Holmes always has a little chat with me about the nothings in life before we do anything baby, and that we always end the appointment talking about my next visit. And I love that when I leave I have the same excited feeling I always have in knowing that my baby girl is doing well!

So I guess all I am saying today is get yourself some seedless red grapes, have Wilson Phillip's "Hold On" on repeat in the CD player and stay as far away from the scale as you possibly can! I warned you these postings wouldn't blow your socks off right? =)

Sincerely Yours,

The Pregnancy Look

Dear Diary,

If any of you reading this has been pregnant, or has spent a lot of time with someone who is pregnant, then you probably know "the look" that random strangers give your belly in passing. Garrett actually pointed it out to me the first time it happened when I was pregnant with Addalyn. We were walking through Target and he noticed this random woman look straight at my belly, then to me, then to Garrett with a big smile on her face. Kind of like saying "Awe, look at them, they are having a little baby," without ever actually saying anything at all. Once he pointed it out to me, I started noticing it happening all the time. It was always women and it was always the same look - a big smile first to my belly, then to me, then to Garrett.

It may be because I have been a bit distracted this pregnancy with the toddler I am always toting around with me, but it wasn't until last night at dinner that I noticed "the look" for the first time. As we were leaving we passed a table where not only did the woman give me the look but she nudged her husband to look as well. Neither said anything, they just smiled, looked at my belly, looked at me, and then to Garrett. Because we didn't have Addy with us, I am sure they thought it was our first child. So instead of thinking "Awe, look at them, they are having a little baby," they should be thinking "Oh my gosh, look at them, those crazies are having kids 18 months apart!" =)

I don't mind "the look." In fact I have probably given "the look" to plenty of pregnant women myself now that I know what being a Mother to a new little baby is all about. It is amazing to me that strangers everywhere share a similar experience. No one can really understand until you've gone through it yourself, but once you have, you feel as though you are connected to mothers everywhere, whether you know them or not. Pretty cool!

Speaking of being a Mom, I had a Mom moment this morning:

Ever wonder why things happen the way they happen? Why someone offered to do something? Why you made a last minute decision? Why you chose the place you chose? I guess I never really thought about it because when it comes to the little things in life, for the most part, I don't consider what the past had to do with the present. But today, as I woke up in my warm, snugly bed, I realized that life is pretty good. Even though the past few days have seemed extremely ordinary, I think it all happened purely for the satisfaction I felt at 8:00 on this Sunday morning. Silly?... Maybe. But because Ryan and Laura offered to babysit last week, and because we decided to go to 4:30 Mass last night, and because I insisted Addy stay up later than normal to get her bath in, and because I was far too tired to make Addy stay in her own bed when she woke up upset, I got to wake up later than normal next to my adorable sleeping daughter and my awesome husband. Normally I don't tolerate Addy in the big bed with us, but this morning I was thankful. The three of us (well four if you include Philly), got to spend the morning in bed together! As they say, "It's the little things," and that is exactly right!

So Thank You Uncle Ryan and Aunt Laura for offering to babysit. Thank You Sacred Heart for offering a 4:30 Saturday night mass. Thank You Olive Garden for a great waitress and an even better Chicken Parmigiana. Thank You Garrett for stopping at Dairy Queen on the way home. Thank You "germ-a-phobe" personality for insisting Addy get her bath and throwing off her sleeping schedule. Thank You Addy for waking up at 3:00am and insisting on sleeping with us. And Thank You God, for this awesome, blessed, amazing life you have given me!

Sincerely Yours,

Christmas: Some Assembly Required

Dear Diary,

Ahhhh, Christmas decorations. Maybe a weird first posting, but hey, I said this was going to be about my everyday life right? And today was all about Christmas. I thought I was doing myself a favor by getting the tree up early. Little did I know that I would spend my entire day dragging decorations out of storage, analyzing what all I have and more importantly, what I don't have, and then spending over an hour at Hobby Lobby, only to bring it all home and have to spend the remainder of my afternoon putting it all up. EXHAUSTING!

I am not sure what is worse; falling in love with something only to find out it is way out of your price range, OR grabbing everything that is on sale and finding that the 50% off items add up rather quickly, making the total at the cash register much higher than you had hoped. Being as indecisive as I am, it takes me forever to find the "perfect" something. I would guess that about 10-15 items crossed paths with my shopping cart during my hour Hobby Lobby shopping spree. Something would go in, I'd change my mind, and it would go right back on the shelves again. I passed the same people over and over again, who were either being as indecisive as I, or had nothing better to do that mosey around for a couple of hours. At least with each passing, they received a friendly "Hi" from Addalyn. Not a soul walked by us that didn't get spoken too from my happy little shopping buddy. Even those who were hardly within ear shot were greeted with enthusiasm from across the aisle. =)

I knew my hardworking husband would ask my total as soon as he walked in the door so I wanted to make sure everything was up and looking beautiful so I could confidently say, "Doesn't everything look great?" I am glad Garrett is a sucker for Christmas. Because I had such a short amount of time to work with, I found myself going 100 miles per hour, laying fabric, displaying the nativity sets, hanging garland, wrapping gifts, stringing lights, nailing up stockings...all while keeping the lady entertained, cooking dinner, cleaning up after my messes, and trying to catch what I could of the Ellen Degeneres show. At least I got to end my night by cleaning up the bathtub and bath toys after Addy decided that pooping in the bathtub was a good idea! Ei-Yi-Yi!!

I'll be honest and say it feels like I have ran a marathon today. That could be due to the fact that I am pregnant and my idea of working out is walking up and down our many sets of stairs daily. But the decorating is done, I am happy with how it turned out, and it was a great start to a weekend at home with the fam! I am signing off for the night but feel free to catch a taste of Christmas spirit at the Forsythe house!

Sincerely Yours,

Here It Goes!

Here is the first, of what I hope will be many, blog postings. I was inspired to create a blog, and even though I have never done this before, I feel as though it is right up my alley. I have always been a creative person, and as most of you would probably agree, a blog is something I should have done ages ago. No, my life isn't fancy or glamorous, and no, I don't have a social life that is worth bragging about, and no, I am most definitely not a know-it-all on the world and its lessons to live by, BUT I do spend my day-to-day discovering new things about myself, about the crazy behaviors of 1 year olds, and most importantly, the "ins" and "outs" of every guest on the Regis and Kelly, Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey shows.

My life is simple and my goal isn't to try to convince anyone otherwise. I want to use this blog as a place to discuss the random thoughts that come to mind, to dwell on the things that make or break my day, or to tell the never disappointing stories of my crazy, funny, unbelievable daughter. I have no intention of trying to blow any one's socks off with my words or stories, but I do hope I can at least entertain a few of you with one or two of my postings along the way.

This is my first post, and hopefully not my last. I have no idea what I am doing so please consider that when the layout changes, I accidentally delete something, or my latest post is written under the "About Me" section. It will probably be a little bumpy as I get used to things, but don't fret, I will figure it out eventually!

So here it goes! Everything you ever wanted to know, straight from The Forsythe Diaries...
