Father's Day Blessings!

Dear Diary,

I think sometimes Dads get overlooked. And it's probably because they don't care about the little things as much as we Moms do. If I hadn't gotten recognized on Mother's Day, I would have been upset. If no one would have sent me a card in the mail or told me happy Mother's Day on Facebook, I would have been disappointed. Now, if I was to forget my Father on Father's Day, or if I overlooked getting Garrett a card, neither would probably think twice of it.

I can only speak for myself but I know that when I am hurt or upset, I want my Mom. When I need advice or someone to talk to, I call my Mom. Or when something important in my life happens, the first person I want to tell is my Mom. I think of her when I think of my childhood because she was the person at home with us. I can't thank her enough for that, but I think an even bigger thanks needs to be given to my Father for working hard every day so that my Mom was able to do that.

My Dad is one of the hardest working people I know. He works that hard not for himself but for his kids, for my Mom and for the life they have built over the years. We truly don't say Thank You enough. Even though you probably wont be reading this, I feel it important to say Thank You on Father's Day Weekend. So:

Thank You for being the amazing husband that you are to Mom. Thank You for starting our little Boler family and for not giving up on kids after Ryan (haha). Thank You for working hard every day. Thank You for your very early mornings. Thank You for cutting my nails until I was a teen, seriously. Thank You for a beautiful yard. Thank You for every softball game you coached, helped coach, or sat in the stands for. Thank You for EVERY game you watched, even the not so great ones, it means more to me than you'll ever know. Thank You for fried potatoes for breakfast and peanut butter on my pancakes. Thank You for "I am the Warrior." Thank You for the best swept garage in Pittsburg, Kansas. Thank You for your worry and concern for you children. Thank You for being the best 'Papa' to my little girls. And Thank You for being You! WE LOVE YOU!

They say you marry someone like your Father and I suppose that is true in my case. I have an amazing husband and I have an even better Father to my two little girlies! They are too small to understand right now, but they are so lucky to have Garrett in their life. I admit to be a little jealous sometimes when I see Addy's face light up every night when he walks in the door from work. And when she laughs the hardest when Daddy is playing with her. I will NEVER get tired of watching the two of them together and I can't wait to watch the relationship between him and Olivia grow in the same way.

Like I always say, I am incredibly lucky to have the life I do. God gave me the best Father and the best Daddy to my girls! I am so thankful.

Happy Father's Day Everyone!

Sincerely Yours,
